Shur-I-Kan – Kissing (The Remixes) – Body Rhythm 062: Out Now!

Posted on by rosscouch in News, Releases | Leave a comment

The latest release on Body Rhythm sees three brand new remixes of Shur-I-Kan’s recent track ‘Kissing’ which first appeared on the label via the ‘Studio Fever EP’.

Stepping up to the plate with new deep house reworkings are Harold Heath and Sebastian Davidson, while I stick closer to the downtempo feel of the original track with a jazzy, piano driven rework.

Update 26th August: After a two-week promo on Traxsource that saw Harold’s mix climb to No.12 on the Deep House chart and my own version hitting No.1 on the Chillout chart this EP is now out on official release which means you can now buy it from:

Also out yesterday was two new remixes I’ve done for Japan’s own DJ19 on his 19Box label.

Those with long memories may recall that I’ve remixed for DJ19 a long time ago – in fact it was my first ever vinyl remix for the Panther label in 2001.

Now I’m remixing an old track of his called ‘Breakin’ Of The Dawn’.  There’s a house mix and a latin reprise and you can  get your hands on it on promo exclusively at BEATPORT.

And finally, don’t forget that my ‘Travelogue Vol.2’ compilation also came out recently and is currently available in all the usual online stores.  It recently cracked the Traxsource album chart Top 10.

Stylo G – ‘Soundbwoy’ Hits Official UK Top 20!

Posted on by rosscouch in News | Leave a comment

Well done to Stylo G who’s ‘Soundbwoy‘ track on 3Beat Records landed at No.18 on the official UK Top 40 on Sunday.

I was lucky enough to be asked to provide the house remix for the EP (which included additional mixes by Sigma and De Genius).

The track looks like like it’ll spend a second week in the chart as it’s currently sitting at No.21 on the UK iTunes chart as I write this. My own ‘Club Mix’ of the track is currently No.2 on Juno Download’s Funky / Club House chart.

Moving on to my own Body Rhythm label, I’m delighted to say that my track ‘Somebody Like You‘ is approaching it’s fifth week in the Traxsource Soulful House top 10 and still resides in the top 30 overall on the site.  It’s also reached as high as No.6 overall on the Stompy site.

There continues to be great DJ Support for the track too, with it recently being charted by house legends like Joey Negro (again!), Richard Earnshaw, Johnny Fiasco and DJ Disciple.

Meanwhile, Shur-I-Kan’s track ‘Kissing‘ is currently at No.24 on the Beatport Chillout chart (peaked at No.12) and is also No.5 over on Traxsource’s Lounge chart.

And finally, I’m happy to say that my brand new ‘Surrender EP‘ comes out tomorrow on Traxsource promo so I’ll be back with links and track previews then.  Stay tuned!
