Update: My ‘I believe EP’ has now finished a successful promo period on Traxsource where ‘Get Funky’ entered the Jackin House top 10, so far peaking at No.5, while the full EP reached No.15 on the overall sales chart.

I’m delighted to say that my ‘Ross Couch House Edit’ of my downtempo project Leanbacker’s latest single ‘New York City’ has broken into the Traxsource Soulful House top 10 and is currently sitting at No.9 as I type this. This is only the third release for Leanbacker on my sub-label Beats Since Birth, so it’s great to see it doing well.
Of course the main focus of both Leanbacker and this label is downtempo music, but I think a bit of cross-promotion via an occasional Ross Couch remix on BSB and vice versa with Leanbacker on my main Body Rhythm imprint (such as with the recent ‘The Way You Work’ track which is still No.12 on the Traxsource Lounge chart) can only be a good thing to help establish the new project and reinforce the fact that this is me under a new alias.

Beyond that, I’ve been lucky enough to have had as many as four tracks in the Soulful House top 50 on Traxsource at times this week with both ‘Falling Without You’ and ‘Back in Love’ from my ‘In The Skies EP’ on Body Rhythm in there alongside my remix of The Lucius Project Ft Diana Lynn – ‘Falling (Don’t Stop Me)’ on House Trip Recordings.
Meanwhile, over at Beatport I was happy to see that the ‘In The Skies EP’ was one of the ‘Staff Picks’ this week in the House section and also got a feature spot too.
Looking ahead I’m busy finishing off my next Ross Couch EP at the moment for release later in the month, while there’s also several new remix projects to sink my teeth into as well.
I’m happy to say that my most recent single ‘Don’t Say It’ broke into the Traxsource Soulful House Top 10 sales chart over the weekend and is currently placed at No.7 as I write this with the New Year just over the horizon.
It’s great to be able to end the year on a high note (no pun intended!) and I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next in 2015. Thanks a lot to everyone who’s supported by music over the past 12 months and a Happy New Year to you all!
Great news – ‘What You Do To Me‘, one of the tracks on my final release of the year has just broken into the Traxsource Deep House Top 10 sales chart.
It was touch and go there for a few days as it hovered at No.12 and then No.11, giving me flashbacks to other tracks I released earlier this year like ‘Holding On‘ and ‘When The Sky falls‘ which both got to the same spot (albeit on the Soulful House chart) and then didn’t quite manage to push into the Top 10.
It’s been a really good year on Traxsource overall though, with other tracks like ‘Still In Love‘ and my biggest seller, ‘Somebody Like You‘ both going top 5 on the Soulful House chart, and top 15 overall.
In fact, ‘Somebody Like You’ ended up as the 36th best selling track for the whole of 2013 on the Soulful House chart, and No.111 on the overall 2013 best sellers list.
‘What You Do To Me’ going top 10 is the perfect way to round off 2013, but rest assured I’m already hard at work on fresh music so that I can hit the ground running in 2014!
Thanks a lot to everyone who’s bought my music over the course of the past year, whether it was on Traxsource or anywhere else for that matter. Every sale makes a difference and I’m very grateful to all of you.
I’m happy to say that ‘Still In Love‘, the lead track from my latest EP broke into the Traxsource Soulful House top 10 on Friday and is currently sitting pretty at No.7.
The likes of Richard Earnshaw, CJ Mackintosh and Grant Nelson have been getting behind this one and I’ve been getting lots of great feedback from listeners too.
This follows on from my track ‘Somebody Like You‘ which spent over a month on the Soulful chart earlier in the year, peaking at No.4 and has gone on to be one of my most popular tracks in quite some time.
So it’s been a good little spell for me on the site and fingers crossed that’ll continue going forward. I’ll certainly be working hard to ensure that’s the case and I’m already busy preparing a follow-up which is already sounding very nice, to my ears at least.
In the mean time, ‘Still In Love’ and the other tracks from the ‘Closer EP‘ will be getting a full release tomorrow meaning that in addition to Traxsource you’ll also be able to get your hands on it at Beatport, Juno Download, Stompy and iTunes.
